My photographs nourish and explore my desire for home, for Oahu. Growing up on the island nicknamed “The Gathering Place” is the reason I am drawn to city streets, parks, diners, or beaches. Loved ones formed my earliest memories of the ocean as we packed into the car, spent all day at the beach, and decompressed together. The beach has always been a place of comfort; I turn to the water to fix me. Now being on the mainland I photograph from the other side of the pacific coast, searching for what is familiar to home.
